The Responsive Call to Worship
Leader: We have gathered in the name of the Lord. What is your response?
People: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Leader: Why do you give this time to the Lord?
People: We know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his: we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Leader: How will you worship the Lord?
People: We will enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; we will give thanks and praise his holy name.
Leader: Why have we come here today?
People: The Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Today we come to celebrate the gift of a new
pastor to lead this congregation. Thanks be to God.
